- Let's virtually experience the exciting base parachuting from Jinmao Tower, with interactive controls: Before the jumping, the viewpoint can be moved around as you wish; you can choose any spot as your jumping-off point (much freer than in the real life), then observe the nearby landscape changing when falling; in the first 6 seconds, the falling speed may be extremely quick, but after the parachute opens, it slows down; as an alternative, the viewer could also slow down the speed, or fly in the air like a piece of feather, so as to have enough time to look around while falling; if the wind direction and the wind speed can be set in the system, the track of the falling will be different, so as the scenery you see.
  (About Jinmao Tower: The Jinmao Building or Jinmao Tower is an 88-story landmark skyscraper in the Lujiazui area of the Pudong district of Shanghai, People's Republic of China. It contains offices and the Shanghai Grand Hyatt hotel. By 2005, with the height of 420.5 meters, it is the tallest building in the PRC, the fifth tallest in the world by roof height and the seventh tallest by pinnacle height. Along with the Oriental Pearl Tower, it is a centerpiece of the renowned Pudong skyline.)

Work Flow Chart:
1. Use digital video camera to shoot the Jinmao Tower and the nearby surroundings all sidedly;
2. Import the video or panorama into the planned Easypano Auto-modeling Software and automatically create the photographic simulation of the building and the surroundings;
3. Export the model into 3D software like Maya, 3Ds Max, etc.;
4. Use Easypano Panoweaver to convert the long-range view background into an environment map;
5. Combine the model and the environment map;
6. Choose 3D plug-ins to play.

On October 5, 2004, thirty-seven base jumpers from 16 countries took part in the "2004 Shanghai Jinmao Tower International Base Jumping Show", and they jumped at the height of 350 meters.
Following is an interview of a Chinese Base jumper Yangmei Zhang about her 20-second exciting BASE jumping feeling in this junmping show:
"How long does it take to fall from jumping off the Jinmao Tower to landing?"
Yangmei Zhang:" About 20 seconds."
"What's your feeling in this 20 seconds?"
She closed her eyes and leaned back, with a intoxicated expression:"So Terrific! We did what the coach has told us to, jumped forward not down, and flew out slantways. I thought that I should leave the buidling as far as possible. Then I took a look at the Jinmao Tower, ha, the floors were flying away, that made I feel like running quickly along a highway, and the floors seemed just like the trees on the roadside! This feeling lasted for about 6 seconds before the parachute opened up, and it was only about 100 meters away from the ground. And the national flag I took with me opened up, too ... it's really so exciting!"
