• When I wrote this review (in Oct 2005) - I was using V3 & although V4 had been introduced (with the ability to stitch 'None full-frame' fisheye images) I still prefered the results using a 'full-frame' camera.
  However V5 is a MASSIVE improvement. It's use of the 'smartblend plugin' totally removes the brightness-falloff that I get with the Sigma 8mm lens & it's selection of 'stitching points' is awesome (I rareley have to change these).

• Panoweaver 5 - I have just tried this with some 'older' fisheye images (were stitched using Panoweaver 3.01). Although Panoweaver 4 was a great improvement - Panoweaver 5 (with smartblend) is awesome.

• I have come to be aquainted with your product through the Kaidan website. Initially, I shot with a one shot solution but quickly found the quality to be inferior, so eventually bought a second system involving fisheye stitching and tried the free demo and liked the ease of usability coupled with extensive features which made it an easy choice to utilize your software in my business.
  Currently, I use the software in the Real Estate sector. In the future, I plan on providing service to hotel/motel industry, reception/conference halls, and ultimately utilize the crime scene software and provide service to law enforcement.

• I love this software. Its result is so accurate if you shoot the images well. I use Canon 350D and Sigma 8mm lens. I can produce as many panoramas as I like(not like IPIX).

• Easypano 4.0 is a great upgrade. I love the support for 8mm on DSLR's and also Nikon 10mm.

• Panoweaver 4.0 is very easy to use and saves me a lot of effort.
  I just need to import my full circular fisheye images into it and use the auto-stitching function, then it will help me to stitch the images into a panorama within blinks.
  Excellent! It really saves me a lot of effort. Besides, the outcome has good quality. But of course, there is no software in the world without any shortcoming. I think the interface of the software is not very friendly enough.
  Anyway, it is a good software. I hope that company, Easypano, will produce more and better products in the future.

They are both very powerful programs and have made the process of putting together virtual tours very easy and very quick for me. • I started out trying to teach myself Panotools/PTGUI and it was a terrible experience. Those programs are very complicated and I saw that it would take me several weeks if not months, to learn. I installed the demo version of panoweaver 4, and I was able to stitch together a panorama immediately on that same day, within an hour. I''ve gotten quite good at it now and can stitch a panorama together in less than 10 minutes, including the post-processing in Photoshop CS.

• I’ve been using the version 4 for several months, and getting very well with it. I became interested because it supports images shot by many DSLR cameras. It stitches 4 drum fisheye images and 4 or 6 full frame images besides 2 or 3 full circular. I make the 4 drum images mostly, with my Canon 20D and Sigma 8mm. The automatic stitching is fast and fairly good. You can also refine it by adding pairs of matching points in the overlapping images manually, which makes the stitching much perfectly.
  In addition, Panoweaver 4 integrates up and down fisheye images as sky and ground to cover the gaps. So you can get a full 360 by 360 spherical panorama. Of course, some retouching work is needed on the seams of the sky and ground.
  Other features I found useful include: the ability to save stitching parameter settings, a zoom range from 12.5% to 800%, and the full screen QTVR output. I also like its easy going interface.
  In a nutshell, it’s an efficient stitching tool and produces high quality panoramas.

• Just got the 4.0 yesterday and I have to express my appreciation of PW team efforts. Although it is a bit expensive, I think it's worth. Calculation is as follow:

  $50 for the Matching Points Function
  $50 for Increased Speed/Ram Optimization
  $50 for the Parameters Setting
  $50 for the 'apply to all' function
  $50 for the new publish function
  $50 for the new GUI design (make me feel more pro, which i am not)

  In conclusion, I am very happy with the 4.0 and wish PW all the best. It's ok to make more profit with your efforts, as well as more efforts to help the pano community.

• I also thought I'd add my 2 cents here... PW 3 was good and did the job well... however, I'm more then pleased with PW 4 for the same reasons meantioned above. My workflow speed has increased with PW4. This is mainly due to the way I take panos with my Cool pix 4500. (I tend to zoom in until I have an image 180 high and approx 140 wide so that I can use more pixels, approx 80%, instead of about 50% pixels when useing a full circle. This also results in better image quality)

• I am a Virtual Tour Photographer for over 5 years now and for the most part i have used IPIX technology. I find myself in a strage postion that the new software package available from them is just way to much money because of the yearly fees. • Panoweaver is able to stitch six perfectly spaced 10.5 mm images, "almost" perfectly in about five minutes. Very nice beta, very easy to stitch, much, much faster for me to use to produce a panorama than producing that same panorama with PTGUI. BTW, this is the first time I attempted to use your product, and it is much easier to figure out and much easier to use than is PTGui/Panotools.

We have a lot of experience in photopress, portrait, news article, etc. We begin to make virtual visist for art gallery's, late web desing and hosting etc. We works with Panoweaver and Scipter for two years ago under Mac OS. We are interested to make virtual visit with link to HTLM and this page have not browser. We prefered to work under Mac OS, you are working to make a Tourviewer and Modelweaver for Mac? and in Spansh PC or Mac? We find you sailing in the web, photoforums, etc and when we tested your program, thanks for the trial version, we love it!!

• I have been staying with Panoweaver for years, and I think it is a great product, especially for a web design and vitual tour company like me.
  The version I used now is V3.01, which is even better than the reviewed v2.0. I found that there are some advantages of 3.01 version.
  1. The overall stitching is almost full automatical. It is really easy to get to use it.
  2. Stitching 3 fisheye images is available, which make it very easy to stitch seamless panoramas.
  3. The cubic and spherical conversion makes it easy to erase tripod in the pano.
