Anyone got an idea on how the new Sigma 8mm F3.5 EX DG is gonna be compared to the current one?

The DG is the current one I think. I purchased a DG from a vendor and had to wait while the stock was changed to all DG. You may have to go on e-bay for a non DG

The first DG was F4.0 the newest one is F3.5

I have no views on how good or if it would be better. Though it should be or why make it?

How do things look with your new gear? 5d and 8mm that is.

Is the workflow considerably faster?  3 photos instead of four with top? Though you seem to do higher end commercial stuff, speed is the bottom line for me with the real estate market.

What do the nadirs look like? I just cannot spend the time making a trip into gimp to clone the top group of pixels.http://www.vrguild.net/c/stnd.pl?U=0605190909571899

I guess your set up, at 3k for the camera, there would have to be a time savings in production for it to be worthwhile.

I am contemplating the purchase of a new head to get top photos, but how well does panoweaver incorporate them? Fo instance when put 4 photos in PW and hit pre stitch I am prompted to edit my match points. But if I hit ctrl-L 9 or use a stitch profile) it stitches them right up no prompt. Is PW be as efficient with a 4 + top set up?
