Nikon D300 vs D700

Any one out there have any thoughts on spending the extra 1k  to get the FX D700 vs the D300?  I primarly do real estate tours and am trying to justify the upgrade to the wife...currently use D70s, 10.5 Full Frame Fisheye and NN3 MKII??

Do you really get better results with your tours from the D300?  I have been using the D80 + 10.5 for some time, and wondered if I would see any difference with a D300.

As far as the D700 + 16mm, has anyone seen any comparisons with the 10.5?  I am really interested in knowing if the larger sensor of the FX will produce noticeably sharper full screen panos than DX.

Unless you are also willing to purchase the 16mm Nikon Fisheye or shave the lens hood off the 10.5mm Fisheye the Fullframe D700 will not make enough difference.

The D300 is a substantial improvement over the D70s, D80, D90 etc. Chalk and Cheese.

Buy the D700 if you can afford it along with a 16mm Fisheye. If not, get the D300 it is a fantastic camera and perfect with the 10.5mm Fisheye.

BTW: The D300 had a firmware upgrade today to version 1.10
