Well, having the latest version is not the same as using the latest version.   Turns out I had downloaded Vs. 5.4, but never installed it, so I was using 4.4.1 or so. X 1,000!   They open fine now, thank you for all your patience and help.

The reason I mentioned the "about" for the version is that when I installed version 5.4 and used a shortcut I already had to launch the program I noticed that it was version 4.4 and not 5.4. A quick check revealed a different install directory.

So I deleted the older 4.4 version and it's shortcut and made a new shortcut to version 5.4

Hi Bill,
Swapping cameras won't be an issue as I am selling my Sigma to help buy your product! I was leaning towards the one I linked above because 1) I can "leave" the lens on the rotator and use the camera for different applications without worrying about changing settings, and 2) it looks WAY over engineered for my needs, and after my experience with Kaidan, that will be a welcome change.
I am one of the few that use a flash to photograph my tours, so the 3 shot solution will work best for me.
First things first, I need to sell my Rollei 6001Pro system to get the ball rolling.
