Using the Sigma 8mm 3.5 on a Canon 60d

Hello all

I'm freaking out because I purchased the Sigma 8mm ex dg fisheye for my Canon 60d. I put the lens on and it is not a true circular fisheye due to the fact that the Canon 60d is not a full frame camera. Will I still be able to use it with Panoweaver if it is not circular all the way around.

Easypano recommended this lens for the camera here: http://www.easypano.com/canon-eos60d.html I hope I did not make a $900 mistake as a result.

Thank you in advance for your help or suggestions

Hi Jason,

Sorry for the late reply.

You can use the camera and fisheye lens you have to shoot drum type fisheye photos.

You only need to shoot 4 photos horizontally and shoot 2 more photos of the sky and the floor, then import them into Panoweaver to stitch, you will get a 360 degree panorama.

Best Regards,

Alison
