Another "how they do that" pano

I found this link on the pano tools group.

Any ideas on how the heck you get this kind of shot???

That was a fun pano thanks for sharing.

I think there's  forums where sometimes the photographers talk about how they do stuff.

sometimes in the dpreview forums and also in the vr mag something site.

this is very informational...at least for me. http://www.photo.net/learn/

I've yet so see a how they do it site.

Ok 2 in 1....

So what then. One pano with the guy on the bank and a second one with the fish being held close to the camera???

And what about the camera. Do   you think it was "in the stream". It looks like the lens is at the water level

The kind of panos like this one and the eiffle tower and a few others that have been posted are what I am now striving to make. I began to think about resourses for learning this kind of photography. There aren't any. I am talking about the "real tricks and techniques" from shooting to photoshop.

As a community we need a source for this kind of learning. A place to post "how I made this shot" information. Now as I am writing this I am thinking something like the World Wide Pano project but with a rule that you must reveal how you made the shot in your submission. This would create a project that photographers could show off there skills and innovative ideas on making panos. It would be kind of a informal competition among members to create new ways of making panos. Like a test of skills. The members could vote on which pano is the most creative and technically difficult to make.

Just some thoughts

Thanks Frank.

The site reveals how they did it ... well not in so many words but at least a number of shots and accompanying words in English show how they did it. Interesting to see that they used a coolpix 4500 for the pano shots.

Pretty impressive.

How in the heck did you find that "bigwade". LOL

I sure wish I could read japanese. This link describes some very intersting techniques.

....A clear plastic box....man I wish I could come up with stuff like that
