Substitute for the Sigma 8mm?

Please help me out here, I got everything lined up to start shooting panorama's. Got the Panohead, got the 350D, but I've been waiting for two months to get my Sigma 8mm fisheye. Now I just called the shop (again!) And they told me it's still in backorder, no ETA but it should take at least 3 more weeks and probably longer. So screw 'em!

What is a good substitute for the Sigma lens. It has to work with panoweaver offcourse.

Please help me out here... I need to get started :(

I would wait for the Sigma (try buying from another country) importing is not so scary and is common place these days.

If you wish to get going straight away grab a Russian made Peleng 8mm

A lot of professional photographers use B & H Photo Video in New York City.  http://www.bhphotovideo.com  We have bought from them too.  You might use FEDex shipper.  They usually will clear your item through customs.

Here is a link to the Sigma 8mm (In stock) page.  Pick the one that fits your camera.

I've heard nice things about this ebay seller though never used them. $419 dollars plus shipping but not the new dg version and as with any usa purchase you may be charged tax and import duty when it enterers europel. Oh and consider of course buying outside europe may mean sigma will not honour the warranty in europe if they are feeling snippy about you buying cheaper in usa.

Oh and I notice now that you have a canon while this auction is a nikon one, oh well.

I purchased mine (new) years ago on ebay. No problem.

Came from a seller in New York.
