EASYPANO REMOVAL?

I am in competition with another local company around my area who are doing something similiar with marketing homes for real estate agents, through photography and tours with photos. However, I feel that I have the edge and will gain more business through my 360 virtual tours, which my competition does not have and is VERY curious as to how I'm doing it. Seeing that I know for a fact that I am under their "radar" and would love to keep my software program a trade secret.    Is there a way to protect my HTML coding that does not have the word EASYPANO located in there? An example of this would be:

<applet

codebase = "."

archive   = "twviewer.jar"

code      = "com.easypano.tw.TWViewer.class"

name      = "TWViewer"

width     = "800"

height    = "469"

hspace    = "0"

vspace    = "0"

mayscript = "true"

>

Please advise and thank you for your time.

Either your code is the ugliest collection I've ever seen, or the encryption program works mighty fine. I'm guessing the latter of the two is correct.

Smooth,

Niiiice. Which one of the programs from your software list are you using? I'm assuming HTML Protector?

It is protected by HTML Protector that has just had a major upgrade to 3.5 the product is a release from the same developer that released Wise Pop-Up that many here on this forum use with great success.

For security of panoramas as far as I have been able to ascertain it is the best product on the market for the cash outlay. I have recently updated my website on my recommended software at www.smooth360.info and hope you find it useful I have also just added links to FREE trials of certain software packages. I'm happy to help anyone who needs assistance using any of those products I recommend on this site where I can.

I LOVE the fact with HTML Protector you can lock in the ONLY URL the webpage is to be displayed so if anybody tries to lift/steal your panorama to add to their webpage and claim it as their own IT WILL NOT DISPLAY.

It is a great way to protect your Tourweaver tours from "prying eyes"

Regards, Smooth

Hi Smooth,

I didn't realize you can remove pretty much all the info in the html file.

How did you do that without hosing up the file?

If you just wipe out all the javascript junk you can still see all its made with ptviewer.

I slightly altered the opening and closing html tags to try and stop it appering strange just in case.

(PS sorry smooth, blatant copyright infringment, though arguably for the purpose of academic criticsm).

Yes but you still don't have the images.

That said you do have the code and in reality this is not surprising as it has to be sent to you just to view the page. But this is not likely to the general everyday web surfer or general real estate web person is ever going too work out. This is what the objective of this thread is about. Slowing or stopping other devious people who are likely to steal your panoramas or skin art work and use it for themselves on their website after you have done all the work.

But I take your academic criticism and I will take another look at the programs security options.

It should be noted that there is no way to totally protect any page with Javascript only. But you stop 99% of people who are NOT hackers. It is a preventative measure only. Hackers do just that, hack code.

In fact zxcvbnm, it is a little worrying to know that you are into hacking or reverse engineering.

Everyone should be well aware that "nothing" is ever 100% secure on the Internet. If you don't want something stolen then you should not put on the net in the first place.
