Hi Phoenix,

Thanx for figuring out the three FE process. It has to be a lot easier now that the whole window is in one FE set rather then falling on the seam. As I wrote you my hardrive went south on my laptop which is the computer I had my panoweaver installed on. Going to be a couple of weeks before I get it back.
Could you list the thread inwhich Dave told you how to post your pics? I have a whopper of a rig I want to share with the forum and as a picture is worth a thousand words....well lets say it might shorten my dissertations a bit. I think you will see the influence you had on its design. Thank you!

Hi,

Sorry dude your Motorcoach pano does not work, resort pano works fine and looks ok.

Jack, I have gone on to investigate where you have gone wrong and found a couple of faults.

1) Your images for the pano should read "output%203/pano/bathroom.jpg" etc where as you have "pano/bathroom.jpg" so you will need to adjust all images

2) You should never leave spaces between letters and numbers etc. Example on you site/s "output 3/pano/bathroom.jpg" should be "output_3/pano/bathroom.jpg"

If you leave a space it will default fill with "%20" and this will cause problems with browsers. The salution is to use the _ underscore sybol or simply don't seperate your letters/numbers.

Just thought I would let you know!

Regards, Smooth

Hi BixVid,

I see Smooth just beat me to it... but he's right... motorcoach don't work.

i don't quite know which thread u're talking about with regards to how to post pics... but all u need to do is click on the button next to the smiley... the one with the tree and u'll get a pop up where u can add a web address which will automatically link to ur post. Just write ur post and when u want to have the link added just add it and continue writing ur post. Heh presto a link or a picture (a pic if u show the complete filename). I hope that's what u mean.

If I only had an hour to chop down a tree... I'd spend 45 mins sharpening the axe.

Thanks you guys,

Believe it or not I work with a web guru that posts all my photography and maintains the web pages. As I said before I'm a photographer and a GUI guy. Smooth thank you for you time spent on the scripting . If you don't mind I would like to E-mail your scripting corrections to her. Actually I'll just have her read that thread. I'm trying to learn the coding end even baught a couple of books on Dreamweaver. I know... I tend to tackle the largest of programs. Do I have to have editing rights to change the coding? And the spaces between the file names were as a result of my ignorance when naming the files for output and publishing not her fault. Is there a quick fix for this or do I have to redo the tours and republish the the files to the output with new file names?
Or can the spaces be taken out using the current tours? And finally why does the tour work for me sometimes. I checked it out before I posted the URL for viewing! Weird huh?!
Phoenix does that mean I have to publish the pics to
my web site first obviously to have a url?.....daaaa I just answered my own question! Thank You. Obviously guys my skills lay within the photograhy and not in my web experiance. Guess I know where I need improvement.
Thank You so much for your feedback!
Jack

Don't worry BixVid...

I'm a photographer and salesguy... not web/script strong. Also learning this part of the process. Now that I've bot the virtual tour suite I'm sure I'll be appearing regularly for help with problems in publishing my work... eekk. Like u I also have a person who helps me with my problems and have got dreamweaver in hand... I will however do some EXE work and mail it around. My website is being redesigned as we speak so I'm not sure when I'll be able to post first work otherwise.

Smooth... nice post

Jack,

Just cut and paste the above code straight into/onto the original page and up-load it to your server.

I would suggest you start with Microsoft Front Page and work up to Dream Weaver. Both are great programs and are the standard in web design editors.

These modifications to your page can be done in/with "Notepad" when you save your work choose "all files" instead of ".txt" and be sure to add .htm or .html to the end of the saved name.

The reason it worked for you on your computer is because it is drawing/pulling it from your local hard drive/cache.

All web work should always be tested away from the computer that the pages were designed on. (that way you get a true reading!)

BTW I am a webmaster/designer!

Good luck, Smooth
