DIRECT FROM RUMOR CONTROL CENTER:

------------ Some ramblings from another forum -----------------

"It certainly looks like Oxaal has prevailed against IPIX and a settlement was reached. Furthermore, IPIX has to pay Oxaal licensing fees now and into the future as well. It therefore sounds like Oxaal's claims did indeed have merit."

-- >[non relevent info removed]

IPIX has to pay licensing fees to Oxaal and Martin left IPIX long ago."

-----end ---------------------

An interesting thought - AND I DON'T have a CLUE as to where this will lead, but usually where there is smoke there is usually a fire.

You may also find something similar here at Oxaal's webpage:
http://www.pictosphere.com/

While you can't get to this from his front page you can from a lower tiered page his patents and licensing are here:
http://www.patentlicensing.com/oxaal.html

He doesnt keep it a secret.

Way to go Ford! I am very happy that Ford was able to defend his patents and stop the IPIX machine. I don't know Ford from IPIX but, at the very least, it would be nice to be getting the shaft from someone else for a change! I wish Ford the best with his business efforts and hope that his victory means a much needed change for the panoramic and virtual tour communities.
