Panoweaver sititching issues

Good morning,

I am having problems using Easypano 7 when stitching a panoramic image. Easypano is an integral part of my work but it seems that with every image I have taken recently there is something resembling a pin effect on the ceiling or sky of any image I take. I use a Nikon D80 SLR Camera and the Nikkor AF DX Fisheye-Nikker 10.5mm f/2.8G ED Lens. I am unsure as of how to fix this can anybody help or has anybody had a similar problem?

Please make a set of your images available for download and testing.

Here is a link to the 7 images I am using as an example

If you look straight up in the Panoramic view you can see the pin effect, it is not so bad on this image but I am still gather some images and have a small database at the moment

I have successfully stitched your images with both PW7 and PW8 with no signs of a zenith star or pinching effect.

This was after correcting the Zenith shot (7.jpg) to match the orientation of all the other shots.

You are doing some weird things to your images and this is not helping.

  • Turn off auto image rotate in your camera.
  • Stop whatever HDR thing you are attempting it just isn't a good idea.
  • Maintain the "exact" image size and orientation with all images. (Currently they are all over the place in size!).

I think if you resolve the orientation with the Zenith shot you will likely overcome your main concern.

Thanks for your feedback, I was also wondering that if I am using SmartBlend with these settings

  • -MinSize 2
  • TSmooth 8
  • WrapMode 1

I was wondering if this is possibly making the picture have the pinching effect?

Do not use Smartblend with these images.

Smartblend is for moving objects like cars, people etc. Your images do NOT require Smartblend and yes this is a likely cause. PWBlender is best suited.

Thank you for the quick response once again smooth, I really appreciate it as I am rather new to Easypano software. I have tried stitching these images PWBlender and it works great.

Thanks again,
Connor
