I believe there's a specific settings you have to use for au.

I'll check my files.

Make sure that the sample rate is set to 8000 and that you choose mu-Law 8bit for the au format.

That's what I use and it works.

Thanks eagle. I thought I had those settings, but I obviously had something set wrong. Thanks for the tips.

Eagle....

Hi, I tried those setting and fiddled around with other settings and they all saved to a au.file and as I ran TW it showed it in its file but as I set the song to upload a little notation on the bottom stated to pick a audio file.  When I previewed it, it did not play music, I'm wondering if I publish it, will I get different results

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Chevy,

Does the converted .au file play at all?

Can you play it within audacity?

When you select that au file for TW, do you select it in the movie mode? Make sure it is associated with the default movie.

Can't think of anything else...

Might be worth making sure you have the very latest update for Windows Media Player also. OH! and you must be using Sun Java not Microsoft JVM.

Hi Chevy,

Ok, let's see.

When you "select" the .au file, I take it you are doing the following:

* Click on the Movie Tab on the top nav/menu bar of TW.
* Click on the default movie (>>>>>movie with the arrow pointing to the right next to the movie name).
* Click on the Sound field on the top right and select the .au file.

Is that how you select your sound file?   Just wondering because if you have multiple movies for the same file, you might be assigning the file to the wrong movie.

BTW, how big is the file?

Thanks,
eagle

Eagle....

That's exactly how I am trying to select the au.file.  I think the file is too big, when I use the sample au.files with VT1, and VT2 they are only 143kb and 326kb, but the file I want to use is 2.59 MB... How do I compress this or minimize this to become usable for TW?

Thanks
