Link tours of two projects

Hi everybody,

we have generated different virtual real estate-tours for a costumer. We just use the slideshow-function. It works very good. Can we link the tour of project one with the tour of project 2 ect.? Taht means: tour one starts automatically. It shows e.g. ten 360 deg. panoramas. If it runs in a loop it starts from the beginning. But at the end of this tour the program shall start another tour of another project. Is that possible? And if so how?

thank you

Henning

Henning,

Yes, you can do this quite easily.

You first must make two tours with Tourweaver and these tours will be hosted on separate html pages. For the argument of this example lets call them tour_1.html and tour_2.html.

When you get to the end of your first tour movie (that is located on tour_1.html) you need to add a hyperlink on the final image to point to tour_2.html and you want it to replace the current window so you would choose _self as the window option. The URL must be full and complete I.E: http://www.yoursite.com/vt/tour_2.html (_self)

I hope this clear for you, if not please ask again where you get stuck.

Regards, Smooth

Smooth, you say "you need to add a hyperlink on the final image to point to tour_2.html ".

I am wondering how one superimposes a hyperlink onto a scene image. I have not tripped over a way to do that yet.

I have been chaining tours together using hyperlinks on the skin.

Thanks

Thank you Smooth and Martin for your interest in my little-big problem. Yes - the question is how to insert a non visable hyperlink. Can I insert/edit it in the sequencelist. My costumer wants to promote the linked tours on a CD/laptop. He has no internet-access at the fair. Where do I insert this stupid hyperlink? Do I need to know the exact path on the laptop where I have stored the tour_2. E.g. d:/virtuell_tours/tour2.html   ?

Thanks

Henning & Martin,

Firstly the hyperlink can be added quite easily by making the "Hot Spot" the exact size of the "Viewer" window. This can be done in two ways.

Of course it is advisable to make the tours the same size I.E: Hight and width.

I have just tested both scenarios and both performed as expected.

NOW! If the tour is going on a CD rom you MUST make a folder called "fscommand" that sits in the root directory. I have covered this previously. I will try and turn up a link and add it here ...........
