I have found this to be an intermitant problem. After banging my head for three hours trying to figure out why the slide show freezes on still photos, I then came back the next day and it worked fine. So I restarted the computer today when the same problem occured on the same slide show and it did not resolve the problem.
A list of possible reason for me to investigate might be very helpfull.
I have now tried different file formats, different resoltions, changing auto play settings in tour weaver and restarting the computer.
Maybe I'll up load it and send you the URL. I haven't actually uploaded any yet at all. I'm a little nervous afraid it's not going to perform to expectations... the software seems buggy and inconsistent so far. I'm building my first extensive tour other than messing around with it prior. It seems like the software starts having the problems with the bigger tours.
It seems to me that it might be a problem with the way Tour Weaver deals with RAM the next thing I try is going to be changing the resolution on all of the stills even the ones it hasn't gotten to yet because it crashe before getting to them.
It is known and widely explained that images should be kept under 500kb each and that there seems to be around a 32MB limit in total tour size.
I would suggest you start with small tours at first and learn the program and it's limitations before trying to build the monster tours.
No one here is expecting a masterpiece from your first offerings. If you make your sample available then I will take a look for you.
If I only had an hour to chop down a tree... I'd spend 45 mins sharpening the axe.
