Hello panoweaver people,

I have tried the trial version of tourweaver and it looks great.

Experience of 2 hour working with tourweaver

This is just what I needed.

I like the fade in of the panos.

When is this available in virtual tour exe ?

Again you did an exelent job!!

Very nice. I'm thankful for the API scripting. It seems it will deliver great results for those of us planning on more customizable applications.  I have been considering the GPS integration that other software offers, does anyone have experience with that? I know tourweaver has mapping integration but in the trial version I didn't see anything where I could post coordinates for example.  By the way, I have been very impressed with some of you guys websites and pictures. Great work!  As soon as I produce pictures of Mt McKinley (Denali) here in Alaska, I'll show them off.

Finding problems with the new program - how about you?

  • Chromeless Window Javascript does not work correctly with XP
  • Still Images try to pan and resize even though applet and still shots are the same size.

I'm still playing  if anybody finds a fix/work around or finds any other issues please post your findings in this thread.

Regards, Smooth

Well "Crap"

I cannot get this program to work online?

Am I going nuts??????

Here is a link Removed 8/11/2003

You'll be doing better then me if you have success, best I get is a loading screen than the window just goes white. I followed the instructions to the letter. Does work on my own local system but not online. I have tested on XP and ME now I'm off to try Netscrape.

Was this program BETA tested? If so, where are you?

Smooth, I have tested your tour on my machine, same result as described by you (window goes white). I work on Win2000, IE 6.0. I should add that even one of the demos on the Tourweaver website did not open on my machine. I will stick with my 3DVista Tour program and perhaps Panorama Express.

Regards

Holger

I cannot believe they have released this program without testing it properly? Surely it has been beta tested?

I have now tried it with Netscrape and not really any difference! Someone must have something else to add, I have tried it with both encrypted and non encrypted images. (Same result)

I know that the "Chromeless Window Script" is a dud with XP and IE6.0 because I used it for many years, but once I installed XP about a year ago I noticed it failed. I looked for an updated version without luck.

But, much BIGGER problems here!

Oh well, lets hope their is a patch soon.

Regards, Smooth

After seeing the page 'wait' screen load upI get the same white screen.

It appears that the page is refreshed or it branches to a _blank.

The following files are found in cache

Tourviewer.crap.html, right, left, down, zoomin/out, URL, up .jpg buttons downloaded.

Notice NO viewer.jar or actual panoimage.jpg.

So apparantly, the essential image and .jar are not downloading.

I just noticed one other feature:

archive= "twviewerp.jar"
code= "com.easypano.tw.TWViewer.class"

The .class is being called from com.easypano.tw  maybe that class is not available on their server.

Its viewable on you machine because maybe you have the .class on your harddrive.

If you have the TWViewer.class on your machine try uploading it to your server, and changing the applet code=TWViewer.class.  Or maybe it might have to be hard pathed to http://smooth.com/folder/TWviewer.class. IF that is your site URL

Just a thought.

Dave

Dear Smooth,

Tourweaver trial version has two restrictions:

  • One is the watermark on the published virtual tour.
  • The other is the published virtual tour can not be posted to web for the sake of easypano copyright protection. You could only view your tour in local drive.

There will be no such limitations in the registered version.

Regarding the problem you mentioned:

"Chromeless Window Javascript does not work correctly with XP; Still Images try to pan and resize even though applet and still shots are the same size."

I have submitted to our Product Dept and they are fixing it.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your feedback.
