Getting back into VT's forgot some things

Many of you helped me beyond words can express a few years back when I got all my new software. I have had very bad back problems unfortunately and have had to have a few back operations and am bed ridden most of the time. (which unfortunately has put my family in bankruptcy or else I would be more than happy to pay for tutoring and lessons.

This question is both Tourweaver and Panoweaver so I'll post same question in each catagory

It has been over a year since I have done a virtual tour. would like to get back into it just round the house, community park, etc.

Tourweaver was creating a duplicate code upon publishing.. And I just don't remember how to go about this. It's all like a foreign language to me it's been so long, I have spent the last week+ trying to configure before I ask these questions as I am just stumped. I as well asked a another similiar question about publishing directly from Panoweaver that question can be found here:

http://www.easypano.com/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=1&TopicID=3058

when i read this response its like talking french to me.. i just cant wrap my head around this, for publishing from panoweaver..
can you please help.. i do not know who to come to and ask. you all where the BEST mentors!

Also I am trying to create a basic virtual tour again.. and its doing the same thing.. the loading bar just stops and wont start the tour. I;m sure it has something due to the duplicae code it was producing. i just do not know what to do anymore at this point, fix it and go about it.. i have tried so many different ways, and nothing is working..

the page i have created for the new virtual tour is here off this link: http://www.lasvegasvirtuals.com/circadian/home

again please help if you can, i am absolutely stuck and cant scraych the surface on any of this.. (oh and by the way, this tour was shot with that new 8mm lens you where hekoing me out with when i first got it.

thank you so much got your help, no words i can express much appreciation and gratitude, thank you.

The softwares I am using is the old Studio 2005

Hey there

So sorry to hear things are hard right now. I've been stuck indoors since mid feb but I have the fortune to be in a very well (union) protected post with great bosses and supportive docs. I hope things get better soon.

OK - posting in html, I hope I'm answering this.  When you publish a tourweaver tour it ends up making two html pages. One is the code in a page and one is just the tour.  So, lets say I make a tour called 'My Tour' - when I publish it I get a whole pile of files in a folder. One file in an html called 'My Tour' and one is called 'TourWeaver_My Tour'.   The 'My Tour' one gives you the code in a little window and the 'TourWeaver_My Tour' launches the tour.  When I put this lot online I load up the whole folder using Cute Ftp.  Then I go into this and change the 'TourWeaver_My Tour' to index.html.  This then lets me view this online.

Now - how do you use the code? I'm not so sure about embedding it into a page online but heres how I can use it.  If I want to put the tour code onto a page so I can edit it (like take away the scroll bars) then I can go into the file 'My Tour' and copy all the info in the little window.  I open up html kit, make a new page and paste that code into it.

I hope this helps - I'm a little different in that I make tours for CD browsing on an autorun. My autorun (autorun pro enterprise by Longtion) lets me open an html page on one of their autorun pages, I simply 'point' the autorun software at the 'TourWeaver_My Tour' file' and away it goes.

What version of TW is in 2005? I'm guessing it is TW1.3?  I guess you've checked all your drivers are the latest versions? TW1.3 is java and the newest one 4.0 is Flash.

The duplicate html file shouldn't cause a problem.

Do you want to send your stuff to me to look at? I can have a peek over the weekend until the forum 'big guns' appear.

forresthowie@aol.com if that helps.

Like you I've got so much help on here so I'm keen to lend a hand.

Forrest

Forrest thank you so much for your help. Yes the version is 1.3 Pro. It took smooth 360 & 360Texas Dave back in 2006 to figure this one out.. I totally am on page with everything your saying.. But what it does on (MY LUCK) particular software it creates a duplicate code after publishing.. I forgot where this code is at to delete it.. This is my web site.. As you can see back when I was doing Virtual Tours I had no problem I was taking that extra script out everyday.. Now it's been a couple of years since I;ve done a VT and looking at this code is just foreign to me.. This is my main site.

http://www.lasvegasvirtuals.com

and the page I am working on is :

http://www.lasvegasvirtuals.com/circadian/home

I am just at such a loss. I am trying to just use a still image and link it to the tour that auto starts. The progresss bar stops when its almost ready to load..

I need to get my training wheels back for sure... I just totally forgot how to take out the duplicate script that smooth found. And I think thats probably the reason why it won;t load.. I don't know for sure.. thank you and everyone for your help. That was initially why I chose Easypano when I purchased the software in 2005 because of the  customer service and the help I am able to receive on the forum. As well as I feel these are the most professional film like virtual tours. The way it fades in and out, like a Bergman or Lynch movie.

Anyone contact me please anytime I have a real 24 hour schedule and use most of the messengers

THANK YOU
