Hi Brittan
I use Boot Camp and I have not experienced any problems with flash player, but dual booting is a pain in the () and should only be tolerated if you absolutely need the performance that comes from running Windows "native" on the hardware.
VMWare CrossOver is OK when programs are tested but most programs don't fully work with CrossOver Mac.
I want to switch to VMWare too but there is no guarantee that TW4 will run 100% flawlessly on it.
What other issues did you experience with VMWare using TW4?
What is the best way to go Paralell or VMware ?
Thanks

Hi Think,
I have used VMware with no problem until I upgraded the last version of TW4...
I was using Flash player 10 since the beginning.
The message at preview surprised me because i already had FP 10 installed.

The workaround I found is instead of previewing, I publish, it is not more long than previewing. I re-write the files in the same folder. One advantage with this is that I can see at the same time my errors on the browser and can correct them on TW.

Their is no reason for you not to try VMware, which is a one month free trial. I like this app very much, the last one is less processor consuming and the interface is very clear and friendly.
I think their is a way to get your boot camp PC volume including apps and OS.
What i would do is to put the new install on an orher disk. The protection of TW is connected to the unique MAC ID of your computer, not to the disks.

Hope this helps

Hi,

I bought TW 3.0 last year, along with Panoweaver 5 (it was a package, I paid $1000 USD)

Do I have to pay for a 4.0 upgrade? If so how much?

I do indeed find it a major bug, if the preview is not working correctly. This IS NOT a Mac problem. I encountered this before with TW3. Already 2 times over several weeks, if not months I was not able to use the preview. When this occured the first time I did as recommended by EP and some users. Installed the latest Flash, used several clean up strategies, made sure the last TW was running etc. Nothing helped. Somehow it started working again, I cannot remember why or when. When this occured the next time, I refused to follow all these reinstall advices. Some weeks ago it started to work again, out of the sudden. The problem with TW quite often is, that you cannot reproduce the errors and thus not even the possible solutions. Its quite often guess work when it comes to error tracking. What can you expect from programmers who e.g. don't distinguish between upper case and lower case characters? So, don't try to make me believe this is a software like Adobe Photoshop (same price region). I don't even expect it to be like this. But what I do expect from EP support is, that they SUPPORT us. When we complain about an issue, PLEASE try to find out, don't leave it to us to research. We are no programmers, thats the reason to use TW instead of KRPano or Pano2VR with SkinEditor. Don't tell us, its your Mac, it's your Flash version, your blablabla. IT IS TW and its bugs. I expect and accept bugs in any software, but I want you to work on the bugs constantly.

BTW: The reason why I don't complain any time I'm upset about TW is, that it is of little use. I do work with TW 3 and have a close watch at the TW 4 development. I use it occasionally but never if I would depend on it and never with the latest version. If this continues, the day other established products are out with a GUI version, EP will have a severe drop in users. I don't want this to happen, because TW with its dreamweaver like approach could be a fantastic tool.

Answers are what I also expect for a bug report, not from members but from EP team.
I'm not going to install anymore new versions of TW4 that resolve a 'Hint' issue and creates new unexpected bug with Flash.
I have bought this version because Flash was the future in tours editing.
BTW TW 4.0 is not a beta version and is not a stable version as well.

I really do not agree with the EP support way for sending bug reports
Members are able to share there feelings, good or bad with an EP team member's answer.
This is a normal customer's expectation...
