Password protect

Hi all,

I'm trying to build a 'subscriber list' on my new website.  Is there anyway to password protect scenes in an EP tour (ideally in a downloadable tour)?

Don't think it is possible but thought I'd ask.

Cheers

Forrest

Hello rfh ,

Thank you very much for using our software and visiting EP forum.

1.If just want to protect the scenes of your tour , then you needn't to use password ,because TW can protect the scences itself. And it is very easy to do, when you publish the tour;please click[Flash VR] option in the Publish Setings'window >> then tick the [Copyright Protection by Image Encryption],and the last step is to click Publish

2.If want to protect the whole tour and claim it's copyright .For exaple when view the tour ,you want it,  will pop up a clue text like"This tour is create by rhf", you just need to add a pup up window and then put a text box in it and type the words in the text box.

3.If the above two answer are not what you want ,please just let me know and I will try my best to find a solution for you.

Forrest,

The easiest way to build a subscriber list with access will be via .htaccess

Please take a look at the little software program that Coffee Cup Software offers Website Access Manager download the free trial and see if it meets your requirements and if it is 100% compatible with your server.

If you want to do it via .exe file then Autorun Max! comes to mind.

Cheers guys,

The website is all set up for subscribers, and I've got a few already, but what I wanted was a button on my home page that would let users download a tour.  Anyone could download this, not just subscribers, lets say the first four scenes would be all fine and dandy and open to all but if they wanted to access the fifth or other scenes they would need to add in a password.

The aim of this would be to capture 'casual' users who think 'hey this is actually quite good'...

I can see it being a very specialised option but thought I'd ask anyway!
Thanks once again for all the help thus far

Hi rfth,

You mean - password protect an exe file? If so, i guess it's very possible. Didn't search a lot, but here what i did found:
