This is really disapointing news. If the delay is because of technical difficulties (unfortunate timing with the Chinese Festival) then I think I agree with EP to delay the release until these technical difficulties are fixed.
TW shouldn't be rushed out unstable and frustrate both users and viewers alike, particularly with mobile device viewing.
Can't wait for the release though. I have customers waiting for this with the promise of mobile compatible tours.

If February goes as fast as January did, it's not so long to wait.

very disappointing! I just have updated from 5 to 6.5 because of the announcement, that it will be availible at the end of January. Now I have to buy another software, because end of February is just too late.

Honestly is accepted, Joe. But try to communicate a deadline for part of us which are anxious to have 6.5 edition. ;)

TW 6.5 supports HTML5 tour now, and you can update the installer at http://www.easypano.com/download-tw600.html

Be aware that the html 5 tour can be viewed on your Iphone or Ipad only at the moment. We will release another installer by the end of this week, and you will be able to view the html5 tour with safari on your PC or Mac by then.

If you have license key for TW 6 and would like to activate this update, please transfer your license key under Help in TW 6.0 and use the same key for activation. Please contact support@easypano.com if you have any problems.

Note: It is a beta version and bug(s) might exist. Please report to support@easypano.com if you find them. Your help in improving Easypano products would be highly appreciated.

Are cubicle panos the only thing that will play on this updated version? I have 100's of cylindrical panos that I want displayed in HTML5 format thus the question.
Thanks,

i have the same problems with spherical panos if i want to publish the tour with html5. TW 6.5 beta 6.50. 110225. after publishing, the tour looks good in iphone G4 but iPad and safari stop loading.
i converted the panos to cubicle and then the tour starts in iphone, iPad and safari. but the thumbnail pics looks bad.
is there now a solutution to use spherical panos in html5?
there must be, cause the easypano example galerie for iphone, ipad and safari use spherical panos.
here u can see my problem with the thumbnail pics: http://www.360city-guide.com/virtuelletouren/Firma/Bergbahn_Steinplatte/ipad/steinplatte_ipad.html http://www.360city-guide.com/virtuelletouren/Firma/Bergbahn_Steinplatte/ipad/steinplatte_ipad.html

and here u can see what happend if i use spherical panos in html5: http://www.look4eni.com/virtuelletour/_html5/chalet_2011.html

It is correct that the files will become cube faces with HTML5 output. Input can be Spherical or Cubic, doesn't matter.

iThings don't deal with memory very well. You can replace the thumbnails with your own custom images or set a selected FOV of the scene as if you where making a Flash tour. No problem there.

Quick sample with partial scene view thumbnails at www.omnipix.net/temp/html5

The first issue I see is the joins of the cube in Safari on PC/MAC. On iPhone it displays well. Another is I see where the scroll bars both Vertical and Horizontal would be. It is also very low resolution using the 955px cubes for display on a PC/MAC. Really we should get three (3) tile sizes at html5 publish 1) Safari 2) iPad 3) iPhone as a minimum.

Others may like to give feedback how it displays for them on their iPod, iPhone, iPad, or Safari Browsered Computer.

Switching to 100%x100% solves the scroll bar area from showing.

Unfortunately the HTML5 output ignores what I have set for FOV limits totally.
