I am creating a new tour for a hotel, using a new version of PTViewer. I would appreciate if you could have a look and let me know, if there are any problems or suggestions for improvement:

Thanks in advance

Hi Holger

Just taken a look, most impressed. I am sure your client will be more than pleased. I like the tour of the dining room, interior definition is superb along with exposure through the windows. All in all an excellent tour with vibrant colours and great depth of field and each pano.

What setup are you using, camera - lens?

Thank you, Terry. I'm pleased you did not find any bugs.

My setup concerning the camera is very simple: Nikon CP990 with fisheye adapter in F2 mode (full frame fisheye), Kaidan CS panorama head, and a very stable tripod.

Software used: Debarrelizer (theimagingfactory) for reducing color fringing, Photomatix (HDRI and tone mapping), PTGui (with autopano and enblend) and PanoTools for stitching, PS for cleaning and optimizing the result, NeatImage for removing noise, Panoweaver 3.01 for adding zenith and nadir caps, PanoCube and QuickTime Pro for creating QT cubic panos, PTViewer 2.8.

It takes 2-3 hours to complete one panorama this way (plus photography of 50 images per pano). Not really economical, but makes quite good results.

Regards

Holger

I can not see any panorama in new window.
Is it because I have Mozilla 1.7.3??
It does not work even with IE6.0 and Firefox1.3.

Am I doing something wrong?

If it helps... I can see them fine in Netscape 7.1 and AOL 7.

They look really really nice, I'm inspired and depressed all at the same time!

Hi,

thanks for your efforts.

Glenn, I had not tested them before on AOL7, good to know that it works.

Marty, I have no idea what has gone wrong at your machine. I have tested the tour extensively on IE6, had no problems at all. I must admit I have never checked with Firefox, may be there is some incompatibilities. But at least in IE6 the panos should show, if you have Java and Quicktime installed. Yesterday I was working on the site quite often, replacing files etc., perhaps you tried to have access just at a moment when I was uploading new files? Please try again and lt me know.

Regards

Holger

Holger,
I can see your QTVR. Nice work.
Java does not work.Something must be wrong but I wonder why.
My java plugin is 1.4.1 and for example java panos on smooth360.com work fine.
The fault is on my side.

Hi Holger,

Good work mate your panorama's look fine.

I like Ninja Bill would not use the zenith cap. Also using the ptviewer27L2_b4.jar is causing some weird strobing on my computer when you look at some vertical and horizontal lines. This is more noticeable when looking down at the nadir. (Kegelbahn pano for example)

All the Quicktime movies display fine except you forgot to cap one zenith somewhere.

Great work, pity you didn't stitch with Panoweaver 4.0

Regards, Smooth

I see the tour on IE6 with java1.4..... works fine and looks very great.

I think the results are great... alas... as you have said not very economical... clients are so unwilling to pay for the effort involved. hohum... it's a labour of love at times.
