or

2)  www.panoramas.ch/panoramas/fullscreen.aspx?Film=restaurant2

I would be greatful if you could state what kind of monitor you were looking at the panos (flat or not, temperature (if you know) and so on)

Thanks Markus

Nice work, definately prefer version 2 as it's lighter. Version 1 is too dark for me. Viewed on a CRT (Greytag calibrated regularly).

No doubt here -  #2 is winner

I can see behind the bar (right of glass entrance door) and I can see the 2 golfers in the corner.

Image temperature seems cool.  Could warm it up a little bit.  But you were the only one there who really knows what it looks like.  Maybe it really is cool in Switzerland.

I am using dual LCD screens, both color calibrated.

Dave

I prefer #2 as well.

Much better color rendition in #2.

Looked on bothNEC LCD and Sony Multiscan 400PS CRT.

Eizo L565 17" LCD monitor. Colour calibrated.

1 looks OK although a little dark in the corners and behind the bar.

2 has some bad posterization in shadows.

If you have PhotoShop CS, use the Shadow/Highlight tool under Image -> Adjustments to bring out detail whilst retaining a smooth graduation in the shadows.

@spinem

Is it so bad or have you not waited until the pano has fully loaded. You will se a very blurry image first, like a low quality splash screen that will turn better once the pano is fully loaded.

I tried to attach my sigma 8 mm to my nokia but the panohead does not hold the phone stady so I switched back to my Nikon D70 :-)

@all

Thanks for the replies from all of you. #1 looks very good on my lap top but as you all mentioned a bit dark on all other screens.

#2 was acctully done with PS CS with the Shadow/highlight toll. Maybe I just don't use that tool to well yet. tried for about 10 min with show preview dont show.

But from your coments its better to have #2 shown.

Thanks again for you help.

Markus

I guess the images didn't load completely, though I did wait for a long time. Maybe its the connection.
btw I've seen some panoramas from cell phones and internet chat cams! (I did one...)

:p
