In the main html applet param's you might consider using this:

<PARAM name = auto value = 0.2>

This means that the image rotates 2/10's of a degree each step.  4/10ths or 0.4 is a bit faster.  And a full 1 degree rotates a bit too fast for me.

Ptviewer Scripter defaults to 0.8  and for visitors 300 - 500 mhz that is a good easy viewing rotation speed.  However, on a P4 2.5gighz machine 0.8 gives the visitor Head/Eye ball rotation Whip Lash.

If you are using the button tool bar you will also need to change the parameters for the < and > buttons.  Here is the sample code for the buttons:

<PARAM name = shotspot0 value = " x323 y230 a343 b250 u'ptviewer:startAutoPan(-0.2,0,1.0)' ">
 <PARAM name = shotspot1 value = " x344 y230 a364 b250 u'ptviewer:startAutoPan(0.2,0,1.0)' ">

Hope this helps

Dave

I've noticed that depending on your computer (slow or fast processor)

the speed is affected.  while .4 might look ok on an old PII, on the newest P4,

is way fasterrrr.

i'm i right about this or just going crazy.

daves, what speed are u using?

Jeez, you can find an old thread!

Check out http://www.fsoft.it/panorama/ptviewer.htm and download and use the latest version of ptviewer.jar

To quote from the website

  • When using autopanning the applet can now rotate at a fixed speed, regardless of the CPU speed.
  • Regards, Smooth

    "I set auto rotation at 0.2 and yes I use 2.7L"

    smooth or others, where can i get more info on settting the parameters for 2.7?

    Basically, i wante it to do a full rotation in 20 seconds regardless of the pc processor. I also want the auto left pan or auto right pan buttons to work with the 20 second rule.

    i already visited the link below but didnt find it there. http://www.fsoft.it/panorama/ptviewer.htm
