Hi All, I have someone who is having a problem with hotspots using PTViewer. Basically, the dont work. He can see the image no problem and animated gif I have as i' tag, his mouse changes to a link when moused over, but when clicked, nothing happens. Below is the code I'm using and have for years with this problem never popping up:

 {hotspot0=x1617 y481 a1806 b967 c0000ff q i'hotspot.gif' n'Click to Tour Ylang Ylang Room' u'http://www.vta.com/fullscreen_demo_java/ylang_ylang.html'  t'_self'}
 {hotspot1=x1617 y481 a1806 b967 c0000ff p i'Click to Tour Ylang Ylang Room'e}">

Clients PC: Win XP SP2, IE 6.

My questions: are there any settings in IE that can stop these links working? Is my code incorrect somehow? Is there anything I can try to get this working for what is, a potential customer?

Thanks for any input
Ian

Ian,

Give us a link to the pano online to test.

Question: What Java Engine/Version is installed?

Regards, Smooth

Cheers Smooth,
Here's a link to a smilar coded Tour.
I am unsure of the version of Java he has installed. But what I have done is ask him to install a MS version I do know works. We will see if that fixes his problem.

Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian,

Mate I tested your tour with

  • I.E 6.0 with Microsoft JVM
  • I.E 6.0 with Sun Java Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_04-b05)
  • Firefox 1.07 with Sun Java Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_04-b05)
  • Opera 5.0 with Sun Java Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_04-b05)

and in every test I performed it worked perfectly.

I can see no obvious problem with your code.

Regards, Smooth
