I saw a tutorial on how to convert a regular pano to a Quicktime movie using( sorry cant find the link). They used 3d software, I think it was 3d Max. First a wire sphere was created and then the equirectangular image was mapped to the inside of the sphere. They then placed cameras in the sphere and recorded the movie by scripting the camera movement within the sphere. The result was a standard quicktime movie that looked like it was shot with a video camera. The quality was very low and the file size was huge at around 30 megabyte for a movie that lasted 30 seconds.

IF you use PTviewer it is quite easy to create a set of parameters that will cause the pano to be panned, rotated ,zoomed in and out in the way that you want. The result here is a pano that rotates and pans as you want it to. When done right it appears to be a movie. The 3D example above actually resulted in the same thing but with very low quality and huge file size.

see this link on scripting the pano. At the top there a 4 little buttons. Click the motion button. On the image there are 9 little button where the tool bar would be. Click each one to see how the pano can be controlled with parameters

If it was me I would use Quicktime authoring and create a movie from the desktop while the pano is playing. You can even control the pano while recording the movie. Just like you see in video tutorials for software. Turn this into a whatever media you need.
