I was wondering if anybody had the same or similar setup that I have and if they would be willing to share some advice on their preferred setup. First i'll list my specific equipment. Second I list the settings i'm allready pretty certain of. Lastly i'll ask for advice on camera settings. Thank you for any help you can give me. I hope that my information and the responses I recieve will help others out with the same questions.

I often use a D70 with Sigma 8mm and here's what I do for most work.
I rarely bother using a preset wb and use Auto WB, shooting raw allows you to alter the wb later in Nikon View or Nikon Capture to get the most accurate results. Just use the same wb setting for each image in a set.

Take first shot in Mode A with aperture f8, note shutter speed then switch to M mode set aperture at f8, shutter speed to above, turn off Auto focus switch on lens and set to infinity, take shots, check exposure with histograms (keep on the dark side as will be lightened later when correcting light fall-off). Adjust shutter speed and take another set if necessary. 200asa for most situations.

Hope this is of help

Thanks for the tip.

Is there a way to set the camera so that you can do bracketing that can be processed later with Photomatix?

I can't seem to get the Sigma to work in AF mode when doing sky/tall ceilings. It won't focus.

Help.

Pls provide your exact D70 settings if you don't mind.

Thanks,
eagle
