Can't seem to find an old thread on this.

Could someone refresh me please or give me the link discussing legally sampling music without violating copyright laws?

Is it something like so long as the sample duration is less than so many seconds?

Thanks VRtour but I'm looking for a discussion on this board on creating your own music sample using sw like audacity or cooledit.

I just want to know what other folks have done and what qualifies what they've sampled as legal and not a copyright violation.

Any help would be appreciated.
