Just installed, activated and rebooted but it's not responding. IE any time I click an icon on the GUI the application freezes and nothing happens.
Will get by with V4 for the moment but any suggestions would be great.
I'm using XP. 3.2 GHZ AMD processor. 1BG RAM...should be no problems there.

Deactivate License>Uninstall>Clear/Remove install folder/directory>Re-download a fresh copy of Panoweaver 5.0>Reboot>Reinstall using the fresh download with all Anti-Virus programs off and all other apps running off>Reboot straight after new install>Run program and then activate.

Regards, Smooth

Thanks Smooth. You're right - it seems to be an Anti-Virus application being a little too paranoid. So there's no bug after all. Feel free to delete that thread.

I have just purchased Panoweaver 5. My PC freezes when I right click an icon and needs to be rebooted. I have tried the above twice but still I am getting the same problem. I have even reformatted but I still get the same right click error. Any ideas?

I Have the same problem,

using Windows XP SP2

Panoviewer crashed my PC after the initial installation whenever I used the right click option.
After the reinstal. the right click worked fine. After the new install
Panoweaver 5 and the PC is freezing up again when I use my right click.
i have only the newest version of the Java Runtime Environment installed.

Is anyone else having this happen to them?

You MUST install the Java Version supplied with the Panoweaver 5.0 download. Simply downloading the latest file from www.java.com is NOT enough.

Dear Customers,

I am sorry for all the inconveniences. If you are sure you have only Sun Java 1.6.0 installed on your computer, please do as instructed below. I think this will help you resolve the issue.If you have any more problem like this, please send email to support@easypano.com Thank you very much.

Start=>Run=>put in"regsvr32 PWContextMenu.dll -u "=>click OK=>reboot your computer/

Best Regards,

Joe Rao

Hi Guys, I had this exact problem which Joe has now sorted out for me. What I did was:-

  • Uninstall Panoweaver and remove all Java via the control panel.
  • Remove Easypano folder and Java folder from program files if present.
  • Reboot.
  • Install Panoweaver (This should give you the option to install the new Java required also. If it does not then there is still some Java on your system that should be removed).
  • Run this code as per Joe's message above regsvr32 PWContextMenu.dll -u
  • Reboot.

This worked for me after days of trying to correct this problem.
Good luck

PS I have tried a few panoramic programs but this one is by far the best for its sheer quality and simplicity. 10/10
