Hi there I'm trying to stitch some NEF/RAW files from my Nikon D300 in Pano5 but when I click on the image thumbnails in P5 and open them with the programme all I get is where the image should be and a mainly black image with red and yellow dots all over it...I don't see the photo i took...

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks

What do they look like in the camera preview? Have you tried looking at them first with a photo editor like Photoshop?

When converting your RAW images.. to ?  are they 8bit or 16bit.

Hey there

They look perfectly ok in photoshop - its only when I try to open them in PW5 that it looks like a dark sky at night with a few yellow and red stars...

Hello rfh12002, Dave,

I have the same problem.

I tried to rename my files: "1.NEF/16" and so on, but Windows doesn't let me use "/" to rename files.

What can I do?

Regards,

ROB

It's my understanding that PW5 does not accept NEF's from the D300 as of yet. You will have to convert them to Photoshop Raw which is .dng and then into PW5. You will still have a Raw image to work with.
