I do believe that the girl that I met 16 years ago and married is the greatest woman alive. My fathers day present was a new Canon 40D

With that said you all know what that means...time to find the NPP for the 40D on the Agnos TCPS. I was using a Canon 350D and had to make a slight adjustment.

360texas seems to think the board has been a bit slow, figured I would liven things up a bit by posting my NPP adjustments.

First three images are of a king size bed with AA batteries place in the foot post...simply unscrewed the decorative balls and set the batteries positive side down in the hole from which the balls were unscrewed. I have placed a green circle around the far sided battery for easy viewing.

Image 2 Rotated 45 degrees

Image 3 Rotated 45 degrees the opposite way from 0

The next three images are the same as above, this time I have place a line to see if the batteries stay lined up

I moved from spare bedroom into the living room and shot a quick tour. I shot in .jpg format and was not really concerned about the quality of the images for this test. I have left the nadir and zenith so that you can scroll up and down to see if my NPP is on the mark.

Hope that all you fathers out there had a great fathers day.
Best Regards,

Well, my fathers day was something to put on the calendar, but not nearly as exciting as a 40D.  Congratulations on what initially looks like a great calibration technique.  We do something similar,  2 broom sticks attached to each end of a 15 foot fence row.  Oh the fence is outside.

Living room:  At first I thought the upper ceiling line and computer chair was mis stitched until I looked closer and its only an offset wall.

The ceiling zenith and tripod head nadir black squares are the first place I look to check for alignment.  Both black boxes are well formed and about the same size.   I think you found the correct 'no parallax point'.  Only issue I found was in the nadir,  see ottoman seat  lower left edge and the edge line appears to have small wiggle.  But the wiggle does not appear in the upper leather bead near the mid and top edges, so it might acutally be some material layer below.

Typically a stitch seam transverses from image bottom to top.. and the ceiling fan appears clean.

I can not see any stitch issues in counter tops, cabinet edges, picture frames or ceiling lines.

Other issues,  I suspect you did set the camera white balance for incandescent or Kelvin 3200.   And locked the Sigma 8 to f/8 at infinity oxo.  Image appears soft.

Good job !!!  and by the way you have a very nice home.  Thanks for inviting us to visit with you today.

Hey Dave,
I'll bet the item on the calendar is a trip to Mexico?

You didn't think that I came up with the batteries in the foot board all by myself did you    Got that idea straight from 360texas. I just don't have the fence.

Yes that is an offset wall in the living room. The ottoman, couch and chairs have small wooded feet, which is what you are seeing on the ottoman.

Shot in .jpg and chose tungsten for wb. Just testing, I'll do one with proper technique in the coming days and post.

Thanks for having a look.

I am using Sun Java.  I have the java console turned on so I can see any java errors occuring during panorama loading.  Here is what I observed in the console while loading Pixelators panorama.

Scene 2 3998 1999
Scene blockNum 225 15

Notice the use of the panorama   .jpe  file format.  .jpe's are jpeg's (e) encrypted.  I thought recent version of Tourweaver's  stopped resizing .jpg pano's and encryption. ????
