hey guys,

didnt someone mention this product before? or was it in another forum?

also, i think (from what i read in their site) that  (1) it has a limited vertical view and (2) since it works like a video cam stitching many images, it wouldnt be useful in places where there are people. at least with the fisheye you can divide the shots and time them better.

on the positive side, there's no stitching or blending problems - big +

this is my opinion from the little i learned so far, i could be wrong.

how much is it and where is the pricing links?

yours truly,

harry potter

Back from the expo. I talked to them and they had some very impressive demos. The HDR is really interesting. You take a spherical pano with 26 f-stops. When viewing the pano, you can change between the f-stops! But I think for most people the cams are too expensive: Sphero: Euros 20k, SpheroHDR: 50k ! (Without lense)

Cheers,

Sven

sven,

thanks for the info.  indeed a little expensive. i think their target market is the police/defense segments.

which of the products can do 180 x 360 (like a 3 shot fisheye)?

the sphero cam (hdr) can do it. but as you might have read already, it's done with one shot/one rotation. no stitching needed.

btw, the price does not even include a lens!! ;-)
