I just did 60 locations for a nursing home company and am using the newest pano 7.2 mac.

Every room that had a heavily patterned carpet would come up witha large number of match point errors. Everything I tried including adding more points did not work. The rooms looked like a picasso painting. All other rooms without busy carpet patterns stitched just fine.

I noticed that when doing the first stitch the software was adding in a large number of matching points - more than normal (over 30 pairs per crossover).

I went through the first stitch and removed ALL match points and manually placed in 5 to 6 pairs per crossover. This solved the problem. They stitched perfectly after that. I will post before and after soon.

Download and try PTGUI and see if it will help. (Not that I'm against PW) but we have to have Options

I use both depending on the need. I shoot for a company that only does Cylyndrical and I got tired of Lugging 2 sets of gear around so I shoot with the fisheye and can create (2) tours types Spherical & Cylindrical from on set with PTGui it works for that and ....... you can shoot the floor and stitch that in (Youtube tutorial are great)

Nice explanation of the mismatched pairs. I've run into this before and figured it out the hard way (Trial and error) but that's apart of the growing experience.

But with tipster and teachers in a shared environment make one heck of a team.
Keep up the good work

Lee
