Hi all

I'm going to start using PTviewer as my default player.  Does this require users to have a particular plugin - and if so is their a link for it?

So far I've only found this as a player link - but not sure it's ideal as the install process may beyond many users.

The only thing required to view PTViewer is Java.

The only thing you need to display with PTViewer is the ptviewer.jar file (along with your HTML and panorama image) Oh! and a computer helps!

next to the computer I recomend a monitor. I have had much better results then with the computer alone :-)

Seriously though...is it not possible that some viewers will not have Java on their system and therefore be unable to view our panos?

Some systems may not have Java. (This is correct) but this applies only to the SP1 issue in some cases of Windows XP as Microsoft and the Java Inventors/Owners had a falling out. This has now been settled and Java is back on with Microsoft (Albeit Suns Version)

So in some cases you will need to direct your viewers to www.java.com to do the FREE download or you could host the Java pack on your own server.

It is a good idea to build an install instruction page under the heading "Can't See Tour?" and them explain the reason why and offer the solution.

It does help thanks - but with so many answers another question is generated.  Hosting th 'java pack' on my site would probably be better as it requires no action on the part of the user.  But...what is the java pack and how do I do this?  Are there instructions anywhere?
