Hey Everyone,
I've run into another problem that I need help with as well. Perhaps others have run into this same problem.
I've been trying to import images at 16 bit instead of 8 bit. I'm still trying to understand the 8 bit and 16 bit thing but from what I understand 16 bit is higher quality. If that's the case then obviously I want the highest quality. However whenever I do this and then try stitching those images into a panorama Panoweaver crashes at around 50%.
Am I not supposed to stitch 16 bit images? If not, what is the purpose of 16 bit?
I shoot all my images in RAW and import them into Panoweaver as RAW as well. I'm also running Mac.

Your 16 Bit images, what compression were they saved with? None, LZW, ZIP?
Also what pixel order and what Byte order?
I have tested Panoweaver 8.20 Build 120929 and it stitched my 9x 16 Bit Fisheye images no problem (although slowly) with Windows 7 PC.
Sorry I can't help with MAC, only offer some suggestions.
Regards, Smooth

It looks like only with 16bit that images will be saved right.

Please see this thread for the reason of using 16 Bit images.
