Hi
I am new here.
Can anyone tell me if panoweaver runs on a mac with OS X 10.3 ?
This site says it's not supported; does it meen it's not running ?
I have a 1Ds+8mm Sigma and I want to get started asap.
I am just over from 9.2.2 >> 10.3.2 and I know too little about the system so I want to know before installing the demoversion.
regards
Frank

Hi Frank,

Not supported means it will NOT work with OS X 10.3

which is not completly true.....

I just changed my workflow from windows to mac with a new powerbook and I installed the trial version, it worked.

BUT I dont know what are the dependencies that I might not work, so ....TRY!

The NOT supported comes from easypano themselves!

I do not know 100% as I do not play with Apple Mac's.

Try it, it either will or won't.

Let us know the result.

bigwade,

We have successfully used Panoweaver on 10.3, although I can't tell you much because it was installed on one of my photographer's machines.  I do know there were a few discrepancies, but for the most part, it functioned pretty well.  Also important to note, the demo did NOT run as well as the licensed version.

best,

steve

Hi All
What is the difference between demo and commercial version.
I thought it was only the entering of a serial/purchase-nr.
Tried the demo on my son's PC Dell at home. It works quiet well but slow..   memory and filesize I think. (Pent 4/1.7Gh 265MbRam)
All my other editingprograms like PS CS I have on my mac at my studio..
So scd67 if you have more information about what's wrong and right with the program on the mac....please reply.
It saves me a lot of time, working on one workstation with one system.
(Please no PC vs Mac v.v. replies; they are just tools)

Regards
Frank

Hey Frank,

I'm pretty sure you're right about demo/commercial, but for some reason my photographer reported that it worked quite a bit better after 'unlocking' it.  The real issues were mainly in stability... occaisional lockups and sometimes extraordinarily long stitching times.  However, for our purposes it works well enough, hopefully you'll think the same.

Best,

Steve

Best settings for stiching, like FOV, overlapping-blending-angle etc??

According to our test on Mac OS 10.3, the only feature which doesn't work well is that the published html page will not pop up automatically after you click on "publish" button, all the other procedures including the stitching process work fine. The new version Panoweaver 4.0 will completely compatible with Mac OS 10.3.
