Is possible to use fc e8 with cp 8700? How?

I don't think so and very much doubt it!

The Coolpix 8700 is designed to be used with FC-E9 and adaptor.

2 years later.....

u still dont think so?

i saw somewhere a guy saying he used an 8700 with an e8 and ur-e12 adapter.

but perhaps he mistyped or made an error.

the nikon site doesnt mention the 8700 e8 combo as far as i read.

but this is bothering me cuz i like the idea of an affordable 8 mp with affordable fisheye lens.

I think you'll find he used a 8400. This is the special wide angle version of the 8000 range. It has a different lens and possibly a different size sensor. Thus it is an unusual throwback that can still work with the fc-e8. The 8700 and 8800 so far have not been found to work.

One of our old set ups is an 8400 with FC-E8 & UR-E15 adaptor..
