I always noticed the what photographers are using at basketball games ect.

I noticed that in the world cup many of them had a similiar lens. Looked like a bunch of zebras

Anybody got an idea on what set up they're using? Camera and lens. Thanks.

What type of zoom do those have?

Well all I can say is BIG AND LONG with zebra stripes of course.

Canon has some long lenses that are that color of white.

What facinates me.. - > Apparantly no mono or tripods. With long lenses like that .. you gotta be shooting super fast OR be getting a compact flash card full of fuzzy photo's.

I noticed the no monopod thing, alhtough im sure some use it. after a little while im sure it gets tiring without it. i guess i shouldnt complain about my little FC e8 lens!

It's a ~$7000 super tele lens, the Canon 600mm (Telephoto EF 600mm f/4.0L IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens)

man thats expensive and 18 " inches long and 11.8 lbs!

thanks for the link rob.

im sure some are using the 400 or 500 mm model thats why i see slightly different

sizes.
