Hi

I add to my tours a transparent GIF Groundplate with my company name. On the border between the tour picture and the transparent GIF I have always some white pixels. (I have the same problem with my "home made" hot-spots).

Have a look at the situation":

Sample Tours Powertext

Iam shure there is a (PS) trick to get rid of this pixels.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Markus

Hmm... yeah... I've had that issue. I use squares to avoid this problem. I think you need to do vectored graffics otherwise to avoid this fringing. You'll need freehand for that... then again... I'm not very sure so don't quote me. (Thats why I use squares )

I'll have a word to my web guy when he's back on Tuesday and will let you know.

The white pixels are caused when you save your transparent gifs. If the edge of the gif has an anti alias pixels ie some of the pixels are semi transparent, these pixels will become white when saved. the best way to stop this is to make sure all your pixels are solid filled before you save it. Or in programs like photoshop you can designate a 'matte' colour when saving the images. this matte colour blends the transparent pixels to a colour of your choice. If you choose the matte colour same as the edge of you gif then you will not get any white pixels. I hope this helps.
