Hi guys,

so... I spent the night redesigning some work and wanted to craete a TW with an a couple of QT full screen images which I'd like started from a pano. I tried to add a url hotspot... fiddled around with various permutations of url link... but, as I want the image to be taken out of a local directory for a CD presentation, I've had no luck so far. Anyone got an idea that may help??

On reflection this is a good question. Its easy to create the link if its to a URL - but how do you create a link from TW to a local directory for burning on CD mmm? Desktop Author has solved the problem by providing a file link - but nothing obvious in TW. Think this ought to be directed to EP tech section for a response. Could of course have a link from the file on CD to a URL but need internet access to get at it - not a good solution. Could fudge and put the QT pano on the cd with a link from the CD menu but not as elegant as getting at it from within the tour itself.
Like Phoenix would appreciate any bright ideas.

you could put a url hotspot in the pano...??? thast easy enough to do. ie you could have a tripod cap or something that just says view this pano in full screen etc and link it to the FS QT pano.

Try making a folder in your root directory called "fscommand" place your .mov file or .html file inside this folder and then make the URL link.

This should do the trick!

Hi

Thanks for this amazing tip. Does this tip also work if you want to link to other files?? E.g a .exe file or an other tour??

By the way. Why do you have to make a folder  with that name?? It seems od to me, but then again I am no techie.

Best regards

Hi Morten,

Any file you wish to include on the CD should be placed within this "fscommand" folder. These can be any file extension you like .exe, .zip, .doc etc. You then link (Hyperlink) to these files.

You have to make a folder called fscommand yes! The fscommand folder must then be placed in the root directory on your CD.

Regards, Smooth
