First post for me, I have tried the usual help avenues but to no avail.

Is it possible to associate the GotoView javascript functionality to a button within the skin, not outside in the html file. I want to be able to have buttons associated with particular directions.

It seems that there are a lot of javascript functions for navigation that would be very useful.

Thanks in advance

Eric

Hi ekloost,  welcome to the forum

It might help if you told us... a little more about

"I want to be able to have buttons associated with particular directions"

Do you mean map directions, driving directions, polar directions North, S, E, W  ?

Or have the panorama turn <  > directions?

Thanks for the reply Dave

Yes, basically I just want to set the pan, tilt and FOV of the displayed panorama, so allow the viewer to see the north, south, east and west view of a particular panorama.

I know I could load it up each time with a different intial pan, tilt, FOV setting attached to the button but I thought there might be an easier way.

Thanks

Eric

I think what you are asking is if you can call "scripted movement" via a button?

Regards, Smooth

Yes Smooth, I think that is what I am asking

I may have confussed some in the way I phrased my question. When giving an example of attaching a particular view to a button, I actually meant East, West, North OR South not AND as indicated.

Still, no one has told me if it is possible however?

Anyone

Eric

One simple way of adding geographical directions would be to open your panorama in your favorite photo editor.  The physically place word text directly on the photo

North,  East, South, West.  That way you do not need buttons.

Thanks Dave

Obviously the user would have to pan around and find the text which is not ideal.
