I have read several post were it is stated that there is no such thing as a 360x360 virtual tour. Is this tour not a 360x360? http://www.panoscan.com/ImmerVision/ Seems to me it would be as you can go 360 in any direction.....
I have used that as the only way you could class a panoramic view as 360x360. But most people don't like viewers that have not limited to tilt to +90, -90.
By virtue a human will rarely see the world in this perspective. Stick with 360x180 this term is human eye optical correct.
You think the 360x360 is hard, get someone to explain the 720!
Thanks Smooth, I thought I had seen one of these before and just happened up on this one. I agree with your comments, I did get a little dizzy looking at it....but it is kinda cool just for a one off. I'm going to stay away from the "720".
We have done a 360 x 720 using ptviewer. The horizonal pan min/max parameter are set to -180 and +180. The tilt min/ max is set to -360 to +360 . What that does is permit "Over the zenith/nadir pole" rotation.
I agree up to the sky is enough for me.

They are made with Immervision a couple of years ago. So it all depends on the viewer you are using. But as other members, I also prefer to keep with 360x180 degree. But from a marketing perspektive it sounds much better to be able to do "full 360x360" panoramas
For a 2 dimensional photograph it cannot be more than 360x180 though via the viewer it is possible to show this image as 360x360 without limits. There is still no such thing as 720 as far as I can see. That would imply twice that of 360 degrees and simply this is not possible.
