I'm trying to show a flash video with tourweaver calling a swf file through a Popup Image. the swf file references to a separate flv file but I have the problem that this approach only works if flash swf file calls the flv file with an absolute reference (like C:\test.flv or http://localhost/test.flv) but no to a relative referenced flv file (for example in same directory). the problem is that I want to publish this tour on a CD or in Internet but I didn't find any solution for including the swf file as relative reference and that complicates the production process.
the same problem exists loading text or image files from a swf file, only absolute paths and urls seem to work. any idea where tourweaver expects the files when they have use a relative path as reference?
I say this because I really don't fully know what you are up too!
Create a folder called fscommand and place all components into it that need to be called from. Do not break the file structure as Tourweaver requires they stay together.
What I'm trying to explain is the use of a swf file with the "popup image function". every attempt to use a swf file which itself calls an external file (like an flv video or a text file) fails using a relative path, it only works calling external files with an absolute path. I made this test page for proving this malfunction: http://go.yuri.at/tw/testvideo/testvideo.html
you can have a look at the used flash files:
- load video (relative path): http://go.yuri.at/tw/testvideo.fla
- load video (absolute path): http://go.yuri.at/tw/testvideo_abs.fla
- load text (relative path): http://go.yuri.at/tw/testtextfile.fla
- load text (absolute path): http://go.yuri.at/tw/testtextfile_abs.fla
all the files used in this examples: http://go.yuri.at/tw/tw.zip
any idea how to use successfully an relative path to an external file?
