Hello,

I have made a first tour, using my usual picture size 6000 x 3000, but it is very slow to upload the tour on the web...

Any idea about what coud be the best ratio, image size / compression for a full size tour.

Thanks!

Hi Brittan and welcome to the forum. I don't thank there is a hard and fast rule to cover this, it's just up to each individual. I have started stitching at 5000X2500 and change the file size in Kissmyimage to 1MB.

Hi Jerry, thanks for welcoming me!

I quite understand what you mean but as I was used to make cube faces in Cubic-converter, or pano2VR (following the rules recommended on the World Wide Panorama, cube faces 1904 px)
I was not used to use straight away an equi image in jpeg.

I'll give a try to Kiss my image. My jpeg reduced at 4000 x 2000, they are still making around 2.5 MB.

Thanks!

I use Panoweaver5 and stitch to spherical. The only time I use cube is in Photoshop CS4 with the free PS plugin converter from Rune Spaans which works with most PS editions.

Sorry, but I work on Mac and this plug that I knew about is a PC version
I stitch with Autopano Pro and use only Tourweaver under VMWare fusion to run XP.
BTW:
I'll be interested to see examples of 1 MB shots made in a virtual tour without being blurry or with artifacts in full screen mode!
