I'm creating tours containing images 6000x3000 !

Each time I add a hotspot, this one makes my tour more jerky.
The square rounding the hotspot is drawn before (or after) the image !

It can NOT be due to my PC (Quad core extreme 2.9GHz, 8GB RAM and graphic adapter FX3700 1GB).

What is wrong ?

For starters... 6000 x 3000 seems kind of large. I've been producing tours at 5000 x 2500 and have been very pleased with the results.

Are your tours spherical or cubic?

They are sphericals.

Do I have to convert them into cubic ?

Technically cubics require less processing power then sphericals. I want to point out however that I frequently use sphericals in my tours with no problems. Try reducing the overall size of your images first.

We have been using 6000x3000 eq panos for years as full screen versions. using compression of 50 in PS, sometimes less! we can generally get the images down to around 1-1.5mg with no discernable loss in quality.

What are your "publish settings" ?

I'll try to compress my panoramas and see how it works

Hey there,

I'm assuming this jerkiness is on the published tour and not the preview function in TW? That preview function is almost always jerkier than the published tour.

Mine are at 5000x2500 3MB and then I select the 50% option in TW4 publish settings. Seems to work OK for me. No complaints from my customers, yet.

mine are 4500x2250 and clean enough for full screen. (1 - 1,5 MB)
