Hi,

When I click the Autorun feature when publishing a tour, it produces a file autorun.inf.

It appears to be a text file containing these 2 lines:

[autorun]
shellexecute=filename.html

where filename is the name of the html file

I copy all of the files that TW generates to a CD.

I remove the CD and then reload it.  Nothing happens.  The tour doesn't launch itself.

Do I need to do something else or is the Autorun feature not a working feature yet?

Thanks,
eagle

eagle,

If you right click the cd, can you see the "Auto run" item in the popup menu?

If you could, you double click the cd, what will happen?

You don't click the Autorun.inf you double click the CD icon shown under the Drive letter of your CD rom. (Probably "D" Drive)

Hi smooth,

I guess its behavior depends on the CD drive.  The pc I have at the office only gives a listing of the files on the drive when you double click the cd drive.

The one I have at home automatically loads one of the html files that asks you to click on the tour link.

I was thinking it would be like an .exe file where the actual tour loads automatically.

I haven't used the Virtual Tour Exe file that came with the Pro package but it appears to be a completely different tour setup than Tourweaver.

Is there a way to make the TW files a self executing setup?

r,
Errol

It is possible to disable the autorun function on cd drives. Depends probably on the computer. On my machine autorun on cd's is always disabled.

Mailing Exe files is also difficult, because most antivirus programs will prevent opening an exe file...
