I hope that EP will understand that TW 6 should be a mature product... and it will keep-up with the market where many projects are increasead their image content easy to more then 200 panos.
Publish them to swf and then put them in a pop up. I am not aware of any limitation with pop ups and associated content. To run a tour with hundreds of panos would take forever to load and no viewer is going to hang around for this.
The best solution (imho) is to split city into the smaller tours (according to some criteria, like districts) and use javascript to load new tours when user clicks on "external" hotspot or radar.
User will feel something like "new level" is loading in a game, but unity will be preserved as no additional windows would pop-up and navigation will always remain the same.
madmux, your intention is good... but when the user decided to return on the same street he will have to pass more tours in revers... which is not possible but with of addition of new a lot of small tours.
That kind of navigation it is a problem to be solved by EP... I hope in that new version of TW since we're wainting from 2 years already!
Beacuse the TW does not support deep-linking the solutions is to produce 20 000 different tours so each hotspot is the link to nex tour when the correct panorama is the first one in the row (because some tours can maybe same then the nbr is around 7000-8000). The scenes and other images files can be the same just different index files.
I think easier solution is to develop a web platvorm for your panormas where you mark the location of each panorama and just upload them to pre-produced system. This keeps it fast and user friendly- I think it would cost around 3000-5000USD and it would be many times nicer then producing it with TW - and for the project like this it is not much.
Our company can help with the platvorm if needed:)
