Hi everybody,

is it possible to open the windows explorer via URL or java script?

I want to see different file folders with the pictures in it - the user should be able to select the files by himself and possible add or remove files from the folder

No - that possibility would result in disasterous security problem :)
But if you want server file manager inside TW, you will need to use flash application (inserted in TW) which does the things you mentioned. There should be such flash file managers in internet (with apporpriate server side software).
