Straight out of the Tourweaver 6.0 Pro help file. Also mentioned on the Tourweaver Video Tuition page

3D sound to me is directional sound. Was this left out? Have I missed it completely? Maybe it's still to come?

What is the answer?

Regards, Smooth [8D]

That's it, i think, a directional sound. I don't think that flash is able to provide 3D sound at all.
Might be wrong, though...

Best wishes,
Tomas

I already do 3D directional sound with different Flash software.

See example here

The panorama contains 4 different directional sounds (some subtle)

Terrific, where is the settings within TW6?

There is no mention in the Help files.

Smooth, It is an swf file that I made from an mp3 and placed it on the piano. I noticed this when I placed one on a TV in a pano.

Thanks Kerry,

Yes Brick just replied to my support ticket and explained that it is video file (or better a .flv) file that is used. A very strange (workaround) not really a implementation of directional audio, at least not a resolved feature.

Not really anywhere as I would have expected for a "sound" feature but useful to a point none the less. Possibly would have been better if it worked with standard .swf files instead of .flv files. Like I said, this is really a workaround.

Really this should have made the Help file documentation. I'm not a fan of chasing shadows. Pano2VR has me chasing them often also.

Well, lets see if I can put it to use!

Well, it's certainly new for Tourweaver and a great addition.

But no, as you know I have been doing these with PTViewer (Java) since around 2004. I then had Thomas introduce into Pano2VR awhile back.

It is nice that we can now do something similar with Tourweaver. [:)]

I just didn't know what the procedure was, nor did I understand why it was mentioned everywhere in advertising yet wasn't documented.

Regards, Smooth [8D]

I meant that flash can't produce surround sound for 5.1 or 7.1 audio system which is usually called a 3D sound.
The thing which is implemented in TW i would call a directional sound as the sound level depends on angle between sound source and the direction you are looking at.
So, it's a bit confusing, bet terms aside - this is really a nice addition (mentioned about it just after first TW6 release) which i like very much and doesn't require any options to cofigure.

Best wishes,
Tomas
