Hello guys,

I've been trying to make deep linking work without scripting by passing different configs with different startup movie tracks.
Kind of works a little (see different starting scenes for the same tour):
1) http://www.virtualivizija.lt/demo/amcdl/index1.html
2) http://www.virtualivizija.lt/demo/amcdl/index2.html

... but there is one problem. In the first url - original config, in the second - modified. As you see - everything is ok except that all buttons and texts, which reside in images_xxx.zip file are gone :(

Maybe someone tried that kind of approach?

P.S. I've got it working. TextAreas still doesn't work, but i don't need them yet.

Basicly, the solution is:
* to create (save as) different project for every customer who needs a deep link and set starting movie track to specific scene (which wants a customer).
* put into web (ftp) (only) one published project;
* copy config_xxx.bin and images_xxx.zip files from all projects into tour folder on web;
* provide links for customers to specific html files.

This gives one tour and different entry points. Downside is that you have to maintain the same tour copies on your disk, but if your customers pay good money - why not.

Best wishes,
Madmux

Works!

Nice solution Madmux.
Did you mean to copy the "new customer" html along with the config and images?

Thanx

Funkens

Sort of. I've enabled directory browsing, so you can look at the given example file structure. Browse it here:
http://www.virtualivizija.lt/demo/amcdl/
I used the shared player therefore html files (index1 and index2 in this example) must be placed in the directory root while other configuration files must be placed in the tour directory (amc in this case).
Into this directory such the different configuration files should be placed:
* config_xxx.bin,
* filesizex.tzt
* images_xxx.zip,
* resources_xxx.zip
It is not easy to explain it ni a short post, maybe i'll make video tutorial on how to do this.

Could you explain how can you pass different configs with different startup movie tracks?

Does that mean i have to put scene no.6 (for exapmle) in front of other scenes in TW scene list?
If so, how you gonna be able to go back from this 6th scene to scene which was prviously no.1?

By copying different configuration files (config_xxx.bin) into ftp or local storage. These configuration files include movie tracks which may be different.

No - you don't need to put scene no. 6 in front of other scenes. You just make a movie track which starts from scene 6 and make it dafault. Further paths depend on your movie track - you can make it as you like.

P.S.: While this is possible, i don't know if it is worth playing that much, let's wait for TW7 to see - maybe there will be means to have better approach.

Emm.. One more question:

How can you make a movie track which starts from scene no.6 for example?
