Morning All

Just done another full screen elevated pano for a tourist site I'm working on. The scene was taken from the roof of the Orangery at Rufford Abbey in Nottinghamshire UK. http://www.360panoramics.co.uk/attractions2.html
Needs a bit of sharpening yet you get the idea.

It was part of a series of tours Im doing for this tourism site

Thanks for the comments. I use Agnos' pole for the elevated shots. Its really quite easy once you get used to using it. Just not very useful when its windy!

Great job with the eleveated shot.  The raised ridge roofing probably made it easy to copy and past a section from the near by roofing pattern.   I estimate you raised the pole well above the 14' elevation (double door height).  I think full height extension is around 20' high.  Good elevation to see above the surrounding roofs to see beyond.

Just curious.. what monitor dimensions are you designing for.  Even on my 1024 x 768 15" monitor there is still quite a bit of free space on either left or right of the TW VT.    My TW viewer width area is 370 x 630 and still not wide enough for 19 to 22" wide monitors.

You're right - the pole was maxed out at about 20 feet for a good overview.
I dont quite understand what you mean about the TW dimensions. Do you mean the web page width on the second link? What is the free space you describe?
The TW tours should open up in the iframe where the map is shown - is that the case for you?

ok.. looking at the main page with the map.  I discovered something you might need to fix.  Its path to your c:/

Free space is defined as... from the edge of your monitor to edge of your TW layout.  This is valuable monitor real estate that can be used to relieve TW layout congestion.  Here are two examples with free space pixel dimensions.  I have scaled them down for forum viewing.

This opens another question.. why not make TW automatically find the monitor edges and scale left and right accordingly.  Hmm good question.  I know it can be done by changing the html code in full screen QTVR.  Not sure how to with TW2.  Seems all your buttons and other page elements would just slide around.. and the TW2 design layout would get messed around.

I thought that was what you meant and thanks for the input. As its a council website we have to design it to enable the maximum number of users. This means we must make the site easily viewable in all screen resolutions including (unfortunately) 800x600. I know it is an ever decreasing percentage of users using this monitor setting (ca. 15%,with over 55% using 1024x768) but thats why we have to use a page thats around 760 wide to cater for all. Yes we could use scalable web pages but that would then mess up the framing of the TW tour which needs to show in the map iframe window and which is I believe a fixed pixel dimension (in TW1.3 at least). Maybe when the percentages get higher we can abandon the 800 crowd

Unless of course you know different. Let me know what your angle on this is?

We use MS Frontpage and it sometimes does this.

OK on the 800 x 600 crowd.  Did not realize any one still used 800 x 600 CRT's.
